Allthough some of you have seen me ingame; you have not seen the amazing biological process to which my name refers, allthough you may have felt it in the general workings and churnings of your metabolism. here's how it works.
1. ok so you have carbon compounds and you have oxygen from the lungs, these two can be put together to OXIDIZE the carbon compounds.
2. these two come together within the mitochondria (A kind of power house of the cell) in a complex process using Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as a catalist to the origional process.ore
3. Through this process, H2O, Carbon and Adenosine triphosphate- which holds the energertic charge, (as a bi-product) is produced.

Also we have seen a similar thing in the Midi-chlorians of Star Wars, these were INTELIGENT life forms that lived within the cells of all living things.

A mitochondrion isn't a process. It's an organelle.
You're talking about respiration.
