title says it all me thinks, and any help welcome....i is a complete noob, and cannot grasp some of the basics of this game. lookin for some one to tag along with for a day or two, and some tips and pointers as well....anyone?

Yeah, the EvE forums would be the best place to get technical information, but there are a lot of DS players that play EvE as well. They'd be glad to help you out.

Im new to Eve as well and whenever I find some button or something I dont understand I just click the tutorial button on the right and type it into the search engine. It usually brings up detailed explanations of what something is and how it is used. I used this method just last night to figure out what the on-board scanner was used for and how it works.

I always keep one eye on the scanner whenever I play EVE and I'm in low-sec, because I'm always stuck in a crap tiny ship that can't hardly do anything besides ratting.

Well, I've been playing that game for a week now and yeah, it's tough at first but if you do the tutorial and then do agent missions, it will teach you most of what you need to know.
You can ask other players too, most will try to help as best as they can. The Rookie Help chat is tough to get an answer on, too many people plus a lot of spammers.
