So, been trying out eve again, giving it a few good months to grow into what people claim it can become with time.
Anyway, I am hunting NPCs in my dinky catalyst while I wait for skills to move along. Suddenly I am warp scrambled by some guy in a cruiser and I have to give him 200k isk or I die. Not too much isk, even for my noobie wallet, but still. That's messed up.
So, I figure this is where corps come into play. People work and travel together for safety. I got to thinking, anywhere there are thugs, you will find people working to hunt them. So, I am here to ask those of you whom have played the game longer than I: Which corp fights for justice and honor and all that good stuff? Any good groups out there?

Yeah, pirates like that exist in EvE. Not fun for people who just want to mine, or rat.

Or join the recruitment channel(channels-corporate-recruitment iirc) and say what kind of group you are looking for, always corps there looking for members.
Watch out for fresh corps with newbie leaders though, those are a quick way to fail.

Maybe you should stay in the high security areas and build up your cash and skills first, then get a kick booty ship and become a bounty hunter, just remember the guys name, write it down and serve up some "sweet revenge" on him later.

There used to be an Alliance of all carebears that were just interested in building up POS and Stations and were pretty anti-pirate. Looks like they don't exist anymore though. If you want any kind of protection you're going to have to join some of the bigger Alliances though. Until then, just hang out in high sec and get your skills/cash/garage updated.

You would know it was me if you did it Jack. My EvE name is KanmanDS. Im not good enough with ships to know their names offhand. It was just some cruiser. The guy's profile showed him to be about a year old in the game, so it is unlikely that I would ever catch up enough to take that guy on.
