If I could, I'd have it the day it came out.
However, due to logistical constraints I'll have to wait until the 17th.
Yes I know, two weeks without this awesome game.
...
Kill me now.
-Ent
P.S. I'm still going to try and play it on dialup online.

To show you how much knowledge I have of this game: I figured clicking on "Sins of a Solar Empire" in the Latest Topics list would take me to something relating to Fan Fiction.
Then again, I don't pay much attention to upcoming computer games. My awesome Dell Laptop with it's Intel Media Graphics Accelerator does not perform miracles.
If I want to play an awesome game by Stardock, I'll reinstall Galactic Civilizations 2. Not as original as the first one, but far less buggy. Much more enjoyable.
...Reading this topic did give me knowledge about Rob's free time, though. I might employ this knowledge at some future date.

SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE: An Abridged History, in Narrative Format.
Supreme Commander was hitting the bar that night. It hadn't been a good day. He'd show his massive scale to dozens of prospective partners, and they'd all shot him down for one of the simple-minded hip kids from the -Craftside of town.
He was still sitting alone a few hours later, with several thousand spent cycles of CPU scattered around the table. Things were looking bleak.
Then he saw her. Her story was pretty lame, but man, there was some real potential in her multiplayer!. And she was spacy! Far out! A cry from the past, as distinct from all the GI Janes he's been scoping as can be.
Well, after some sparkling conversation, SupCom was taking her back to his partition. Her name was Homeworld 2.
Dusk was approaching, they were strategic people, so they understandably went straight to business. Just as they were walking the team around the bases, the door burst open, and against all expectations, Galactic Civilizations 2 was frolicking in to join them! And she brought her androgynous friend, Hegemonia!
What a night! They pumped AI, polished interfaces, and boosted scale to previously unheardof levels.
And that's how Sins of A Solar Empire was born.

Double Posting is against my creed, however....
RPS: Finally: what’s your favourite capital ship? I like the long-range Destroyer because I’m all about planetary bombardment. Are you all about Planetary bombardment?
Blair: Nope, I’m I’ll about planet suckin’. I love when the Vasari’s Jarrasul Evacuator (aka the floating mega city) powers up its Drain Planet and you watch all the debris fly up from the surface into its gaping maw in a giant, swirling, vortex of destruction. There is nothing more satisfying (or embarrassing depending which side you are on) than wiping out your opponent’s last planet with this.
