I've played starcraft for years, and the thing that bothered me was the difference between CG dragoons and the in game dragoons. In general, all the dragoons I find in either the SC CG movies and fanart looked nothing like in game dragoons imo...
So I felt like making my own, and uh..
isn't this more what dragoons are supposed to look like?

Just wondering if it's just me...
And i suck at making textures, just look at the basic shape

He already has; I don't have any links, but I believe LoA posted a bunch of models a while back.

I want to say it was during the whole Google SketchUp vogue, but I could be wrong...

The (ever-present) problem, of course, is getting them in a format DS can use. Which is nearly impossible due to an old (and borked?) import plugin.

According to tael back in 2005 ......

Quote:

Ships are modeled in 3ds Max, versions 3, 4, or 5 (different plug-ins depending on your version).

I'm sure with a bit of effort we could find someway to convert newer versions to older versions.

I mean, we could always ask Gideon, right? Didn't he make the model for the Agincourt around 2 years ago? maybe he would remember how he jerry-rigged it to work

I like those. The ingame ones always looked more organic to me while the CGI were most definitly machine like, with many angles rather than curves. Yours are more realistic than SC and probably better than or on par with SC2. Good job

Never cease to impress me. You do great work. I wish I had those kind of skills.

Here are some of the links I dug up of some of his other work. Didn't feel like naming them all but there are the ones I could find in a quick 5 min search. I'm a big fan of your work.
