Many of you will remember my other Weather Sand, which is an earlier version of this game.
New Version
I have been tinkering and managed to fix a few things that werent working right, and adding a new substance to the arsenal.
Controls (from left to right):
Water, Plant, Fire, Wall, Metal, Snow, next three are brush size (starts on largest by default), Turn rain on/off, turn snow on/off, RESET, Dead plant, Lightning on, Lighting Off, Lightning mode on/off, Move normal, Move oddly, Eraser, ACID, ACID RAIN ON (turned off with the Rain on/off button).
Play with it as you please. I just ask that if you find it behaving in an odd manner, not doing something it should, let me know so I can fix it. You are my beta testers.
I have made the particles level out now, rather than pile up like before.
I have made Acid eat slowly through METAL, quickly through plant, and Neutralize with water (producing fire and destroying both the water and the acid). Yes I know, it should react with a Base, but screw chemistry.
I am working on a thermal diffusion component to control the temperature of each object in the game, making snow melt, rain freeze, etc. I have a prototype of that program here:
Thermal
Small for now to keep testing simple. Reset Thermal by pressing F.

I should also add that I can add new substances to this game pretty easily. Any ideas on 'something cool' that you would like to see added, just say so and Ill think it over. include how it would react with other substances.

You dont click under the buttons..
The curser isn't acurate. Instead of looking at the middle of the cross, act as if the curser point is the top of the cross (the most northern point).

I think the cursor accuracy has to do with the screen settings of your computer. I have it 'counting pixels' to represent the mouse location, so a different screen size setting could screw it up. It is perfectly accurate on mine computer, which is set to 1024X768.
As for the game speed, I noticed my games run faster (as if in fast forward) on other people's computers if their computer is faster. This is because the only delay in action is the computer cylcing through the code. If the game seems to be running really fast for you, that is why. Your computer is faster than mine.
Im sorry I am not a better programmer. I cannot even figure out how to access the clock so I can standardize movment rates based on actual time.
