Made this nifty gun, and it can barely punch through a piece of paper, but I think it still looks cool.

Used 4 400uf 300v caps or somewhere in that range, the small flash capacitors they use in the wide-spread disposable camera guns.

I want to step it up soon and find bigger caps.

I was also thinking of trying to make a crappy railgun...

Basically, I took a disposable camera apart, added 3 other similar capacitors in parallel, did a little soldering [close the shutter-flash trigger and the charge button], and wound and attached a coil to the capacitors. I realize its horribly noobish to those who know about e-guns, but its a start. [I will assume no responsibility for any and all damage caused by reading this post] just had to add that bit
