Actually the so-called Galactic Fissure doesn't exist anymore, and it wasn't so much of a Galactic Fissure as a Galactic Crack, which was patched with some Galactic Spackle back in the summer of '81 after the King of All Cosmos finally go around to fixing it, rather than constantly hear about it from his wife.
