Need a bit of an assist please.
Have a new comp, at the momoent only settup from DOS.
Have XP, and need to load it.
Question.
Will it auto run, or will i need to set up a DOS command, if so what is it.

if im right xp dont need dos just toss the xp cd in the player and make sure your pc use the dvd/cd rom as a boot up and xp shud start up

If you know how to access your Bios (usually press Delete or F1 as the PC boots) the is an option to change the boot order of your drives. It should be listed under Advanced Bios Settings

By setting the DVD/CD drive to be the first device, your PC will boot from that drive if there is a correctly formatted CD in it (IE Win XP cd)

If your computer boots to dos heres what you do

put the CD in to the rom

when the command prompt comes up type
D: `Enter` "D should be the cdrom drive

It shoud now say D:>

If and when it dose then type
setup `Enter`

`Enter` means hit enter

that should help
Now lets hope it is a dos win XP setup disk:p
