Allo, everyone.
Just a brief announcement for anyone who wants to have some good music to listen to while you're hanging out tonight... I'm going to be hosting a special show of DSR at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (4 PM Pacific (Midnight GMT)). It'll run about an hour and twenty minutes (yes, that's right, the length of one full music CD).
What's special about it, you may ask?
Since November of 2001 (almost since I registered for the first time as a DarkSpace user), I've been burning semi-regular "Road CDs" for listening in my car. Typically, these Road CDs are good cruising songs... so we're talking a lot of general rock songs, with a few slower pieces mixed in every now and then.
Yesterday, I rather painstakingly catalogued all the songs that I have ever burned onto any CD and made a CD out of the most frequent appearances. Therefore, I have an hour and 18 minutes (roughly) of the songs that have been absolutely catchiest.
In my opinion... this is damn good music.
I will spend the show playing non-stop through this new "Greatest Road Songs" playlist, and hope that you all enjoy. I will not talk between songs, and I will not be taking requests.
