Alright then, this is for any Aol Instant Messanger, and AOL alike. If a friend instant messages you, with something saying " This Look Likes You!", or " Hey, I think this is you!" and a link afterwards. The link WILL change, but it is mostly a site wich looks like an image uploading place. DO NOT CLICK ON THIS. It contains a Virus/Trojan wich infects your AIM, causing you to send the same instant message to EVERYONE on your buddy list, wich they will most likely click on that link, causing another wave of virus spreading. The workers for Myself, and a few dedicated users of Aol/AIM are looking into the matter. We do not know the extent of damage this virus does, only what can be seen. The only way to stop this for now is to not click on the link.

Not to mention Id be paying long distance to connect with it anyway...

I like to microwave my AOL CDs. It looks awesome... they get these luminescent cracks on the CD, and sparks fly all around...
Just don't do this with a good microwave though.

if they invented an AOL cd gun, we would never lose any wars. we'd have enough ammo to just saturate fire everything.

use a real messenger system / programm.
ok i use AOL and AIM. but thats only becous there are some Freaking Peeps who use it.
and to tell you plain straight. i dont use the default software and got everything wired to block everything exept plain text.
and for all the people who use MSN i got the same fealing to you 2.
for me there are only 2 greath messenger systems. ICQ & IRC.
no hard feelings k

It's half true, half hoax. To anyone who updates their Windows XP often (or users of AVG, update your virus database), the trojan is harmless. But, it does still send the message to everyone on your buddy list who might not have the same amount of protection. As for IRC/ICQ being the best Instant Messaging program......

These things. I have seen millions of them, they are almost always hoaxes. If you think it is real, send it into the FBI and they will tell you if it is.

Ive already sent reports to AIM/AOL, wich relay them to the FBI on reports of this Trojan Horse. Shard, if this is a hoax, why would I take it this far?

Heh, maybe YOU don't know it's a hoax.
I seen lotsa FW:FW:FW:FW: spam messages in peoples inboxes before like this, or on forums. however I would have personally sent it in to the FBI, you will get a quicker response. I don't really think sending it into AIM will really get anything done, seeing how many expoloits and such are out for AIM and have been for so long.
