My latest addition to my 'personal' computer club.
IBM Z9 2094-S18
16 CPU's (don't ask wich, as it is all IBM branded)
16 ICFs #781 Supports
160 Gb of ram (don't ask wich, as it is all IBM branded)
GPU: IBM Managment Control Interface Z @ 128Kb! graphics memory
and the 34 that came with it.
HP Proliant DL560
4x Xeon 3.0Ghz
1 Gb PC2100 (2x 512)
Integrated GPU Unspecified 8mb
36gb 10K SCSI
These where our R&D cluster test setup. No longer in use so just confiscated them.
I Currently still use them for there origional purpous, simulating our #1 cluster to load balance.
Haven't found a other task for them yet. Maybe Rosetta@home if i ever get the time and help to re-program the mainframe.
I am still looking at trying to build me a dedicated gaming rigg that equalizes anything you guys got. but maybe i will in time for christmass.
E.

Your PC, your supercar, your superbike, and all your gadgets are boy's toys. Good for bragging rights to show all the other boys that you're a bigger man with a bigger penis. I mean, that's why we're rolling in the MV in our EADs n Siphons, powered by Intel Core i7s and GTX580s. So the n00b-toobs in their Core 2 Duo powered dessies and cruisers.... Well, they see us rollin', they hatin'...
It's all abt me with the bigger e-peen, using it to p-slap u in your v-face, yo!
Girls... Pfft. They don't care abt our macho chest thumping. They just wanna know how big your bank account is. |

A supercar tells them you have a big bank account. Girls have their hair, guys have their car. Not every female will be persuaded, but enough of them will, certainly more than those that would be persuaded by a 1337 computer.
(not coincidentally, the ones most persuaded by a supercar may be the ones you least want to have a serious relationship with. Yeah, that's right goldiggers!)
Your Mercedes Benz 380 SL will definitely make an impression on the ladies. Your i7 3960k with 16 gigs RAM and dual GTX 590 SLI will not And in the extremely rare case it does, omg you have a keeper!

Heh heh. U got a point there.
But hot nerd chicks are few and far between. Most of them, I wouldn't touch with a fork.
That being said, I'm still using a Core 2 Duo PC with a dual Xfire Radeon HD38xx card. Good enough for DS, but not enough for anything current! No hot chicks for me. On the plus side, the nerd chicks are ignoring me too.

O___O I'd totally love even a portion of that for my rendering projects. That just made me cry a little inside.

I'll list what I have in the simplest terms since I dont remember all the little technical info off the top of my head.
NOW: Arrived & assembled during Thanksgiving week of 2011.
Self-Built
AMD II 640 quad core 3.0Ghz
8gb RAM (32gb is max I can go...though I doubt I ever will)
GeForce 210 512mb (ATM since the build took all the rest of my money for now...but will be getting a GeForce GTS 550Ti 1gb)
320gb HD
Win 7 64bit
Cost to build: ~$510 in hardware & ~$650 after including the OS
Note: Could have done better with the CPU but this was a budget build that still has lots of room for upgrades in the future and it will run just about anything I'd want...as soon as I can get the money saved for the $130 vid card.
OLD machine (still have): Got it back in May 2005 when XP was still an option (and actually a bit cheaper than Vista which was new at the time).
DELL
AMD 64 x2 4000+ 2.1Ghz
3gb RAM
GeForce 210 (came with a 7300LE...got a donor 8400GS that took a dump on me a few months back)
250gb HD
Win XP SP3
Cost: just over $500 after S&H
Note: Effectively at its limit for upgrades from the start since it was on the low end even in 05. Has done fine over the years but wasn't really worth popping Win7 in and hope it will handle anything really new. It's a keeper though and will serve to store backups and other vitals.

What case is that ent? It looks similar to my HAF X but without the blue LED lights in the fans.
This is basically what mine looks like on the outside: http://www.tech-forums.net/pc/f76/gotta-haf-blue-haf-x-pics-233005/. It's gigantic, especially compared to the old 1999 plain white case I was using with almost no fans or cooling capabilities. [ This Message was edited by: MrSparkle on 2012-01-09 23:40 ]

I can't remember for the life of me, it was almost 2 years ago that I got this thing.
It is a monster though, without LED lights and the front is pretty much just to keep track of the current temp (usually runs around 30-35C).

That front panel display didn't come with the cooler though, did it? That's something I may want to get for myself in the near future, for the summer. It runs cool enough right now, at about 30-35 like yours. But it's winter.

3.4GHz Intel CPU (multicore i think)
1.7 Tb Hard drive
12 Gb of ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 545
Running Windows 7 64 bit
My only complaint is that it doesn't have enough USB ports...
And here's a picture
