- Missions which allow players to gain bonus prestige, enhancements, and other rewards.
The mission system will automatically offer tasks for the player to complete, along the lines of scouting a particular planet, finding and killing a particular ship, defending a planet, etc. Depending on the mission, players may be rewarded with various levels or combinations of bonus pres, enhancements or something else. Credits can, but probably wont be a reward, at least not in any large quantities.

- Grouping system which allows players to form groups within their faction in-game.
Players will most likely be automatically added into groups with their fleetmates (fleet joining perk). Pres gained in a category (say bombing) will be shared at a reduced percentage to nearby group members (and other mechanisms to discourage leeching). It may be possible to create and disband groups on the fly with other players as well.

- Single server map. Removing the cluttered server list we have now in replacement with a single server of which players can progressively move around.
The metaverse will remain running on several separate server processes, but code will be added that links the processes together in such a way as to appear as only one server.

- Badges to allow access to new factions.
Though the persistent rumor is privateer badges allowing access to the pirate faction, that's not necessarily the case. Other options include being able to fly kluth ships while on icc for example, or being able to join some mercenary team comprised of ships from all 3 major factions.

- Optional interface additions to decrease the learning curve.
This is largely a consistency implementation, such that the mouse buttons function similarly regardless of what you're doing. As this will no doubt feel 'backwards' to some people, there will be an option to swap left and right buttons

#1. Yay missions will be back

#3. Please please please do this one first! It will make things sooooooooo much better when people see only 3 servers on the list and not 40bazillion! Also will help people defend against invasions into there homes and overall will bring back the old MV feel again that so many of us are missing.

5 Credits per regular mission, 2 credits per beginner mission and 15 credits per big missions is good. Enhancement distribution upto level improved is good.

- Grouping system which allows players to form groups within their faction in-game.

60% of the points earned should go to the working ship. Rest 50% may be distributed among players according to their rank, or maybe their points in that attribute. The higher the rank and attribute value, the lower amount of points received. And badges shouldn't be received for points through grouping.

Yay.

- Badges to allow access to new factions.

Hope these badges are awarded for hardcore working in a certain attribute. For example, K'Luth badge for capturing 50 K'luth ships and dealing 30000 damage to K'luth ships. Or something similar.

- Optional interface additions to decrease the learning curve.

Badges are earned entirely based on the value of the various profile categories (bombing, capturing, etc), so there's no way to advance a particular category without it leading to the awarding of badges. Sparkle has suggested all points go to Bonus Prestige, which is an option. We're not entirely sure how things will work out at the moment, but we'll try to make it equitable and nonexploitative.

Question is..... what does Bonus prestige do for a player?

Right now it's more of a garnishing than an actually useful value. If bonus pres have actual ingame value, or could trade be traded for something useful ingame..... eg: Credits, or something like 3 to 1 ratio for normal prestige, etc etc, then it'd work out fine.

Otherwise I think Mike Paradox has it right. When grouped, the rest of the group gets a small cut of the pres of the working ship. But... the working ship should get 100% of the pres for the things he does.... like killing or building. And the other ships in his group share an arbitrary value... say 25% of the working ship's pres shared out among the number of players in the group.
