GREAT NEWS...
Shields can now pull charge from other shield facings... this change, I think finally makes the ICC really worth playing against the UGTO.
NUMPAD8 - Front Shields
NUMPAD6 - Right Shields
NUMPAD4 - Left Shields
NUMPAD2 - Aft Shields
NUMPAD5 - Full shields
Each time you press the key, it draws 10% of the charge from all other shield facings.

Nice.
But i still miss that the shield and armor strength are based on the hull size too. You can reduce the hull value a little to compensate it. Can't be that the shield of a scout has the nearly same strength like its hull but a cruiser has a shield which is only 1/10 from its hull.

nice feature Faustus.
and i agree with DD the ICC shield of a dread is more like paper and down in 2sec.

Basically, what needs to happen is a more powerful shield unit for dreads.. instead of deflecting 10,000 points of damage, they need to do 20,000 ...

dread gets only double shield strength of a small scout ship ? hmmmmm.....
Maybe it should be changed that way that a ICC dread gets only 30000 hull points instead of 100000 but therefore gets 80000 shields ?
So UGTO is strong on hull and armor, and wins short attacks, while ICC is weak on hull/armor and strong on shields so they win longer/more defensive battles

Stronger shields with 20000 is still not enough. Strong hulls are good for the K'luth. But i think that for factions with shields or armor like icc and ugto the hull should be much weaker and the armor and shields much stronger.
For example the cruisers should have only 40000 hull points and the shields or armor 40000 points as well. The hull points are based on size, we need the same size factor for the shields and armor too. And we reduce the basic hull value atleast by the halve.

Raising shields/armor strength results in an unbalancing effect on the game. Imagine being a cruiser going up against a dreadnaught. As it stands now, the cruiser can take on a dread head to head and still possibly earn prestige against it. Give the dread less hull and more shields? The cruiser player will stand NO CHANCE of getting combat points. Why? Because you only get points based on damage to the dreads hull. This will, if i remember correctly, also lower the point value of ICC dreads as a whole.
The only solution is to give combat points for damage to armor/shields as well - which i think should be done regardless, since its more fair.
The reason its more fair is because if I do massive damage to an ICC Dread A, but dont touch his hull, some other player can come along and do 1/4th as much damage as I did and do damage to the hull and therefor get combat points where I did not. Beyond that, it also gives players in smaller ships a chance to get combat points against ships that he couldn't otherwise touch their hull.
Thats my two cents.

A cruiser against a dread for getting damage points ? Hmmm...
This is a TEAM game...
3 Cruisers against a dread and you actually get lots of damage points.
And of course scout ships are not made to attack dreads.

Its only logical that you don't get easy points when you attack a dread alone in your cruiser. Every RPG has this feature. You get the most experience when you either fight alone versus someone on your own level (cruiser against cruiser) or when you fight in a group against stronger levels (many cruisers against a dread). As long you can get easy points when you attack a much stronger enemy there is something wrong. There is no need for teamplay to raise faster.

But you cant turn shild recharge off
so the icc scout dont have any power at all now to have the ecm on at all
1 hit on its only shild and you are dead becaus it cant run the ecm same time as recharcing the shild or move or anything
