We tested the changed socket code all last night in beta, and no problems appeared I assume since nobody posted anything on the beta testing discussion.
So, I put up the new code this morning... only to find out that the socket code is broken when trying to compress over 64k of data (which usually only ever occurs in the MV).
I'm working on the problem as quickly as I can, hopefully we'll have another patch by noon, no later than tomorrow to fix this issue.

Dont rush Faustus better take a bit more time to code than having to put out 3 more mini patches

Just go back to the old "working" version until you beta it out.
MV Bug Report:
1. normal 1 sec lags
2. stuck in jumpalinement
3. 30 sec lags
4. ship rollback on reconnect
5. lags of dead equal to the blue screen of death witch I dont have
The old version had mostly only 1s lag and the rollback but it was playable

I missed any post on any testing. Was this public? If so where? If not, can it be made public? I would love to help test.

If you give the community of DS more time,,,, Post ahead, (STRESS test September 20th, 8:00 PM, GST-5, Etc. We could plan on being At the computer. Another way would be to fofer rewards if you be in Beta for 3 Hours, or something....

I would love to come out and help beta test. However my parents won't allow me to pay.
So i don't know but how about opening it up to the community so everyone can help out and i garrentee you'll see a lot more people testing.
(also make it free)

the beta is free...... to my knowledge =)
and my parents dont allow me to pay either.... so i made extra cash and gave it to a friend of mine and HE subbed me.
just a thought =)
Edit: To the original topic; [b]big F, the ds community can wait a little while. we have before, we can again, and we dont want you to rush it out of beta.[b] methinks do as someone in this thread already said, but it in beta then set a date where everyone can show up... like a day thats 3 days away, giving time for ppl to know about it, and put it on the frontpage of DS so Everyone can know about it.
that way you may get more than 64k in the beta =)
anywho, i thank you for the update
