Just wanted to let everyone know I've found/fixing some issues that are responsible for some of the lag in the metaverse.

Another patch should be ready on Monday, expect an update that should help clear up some of the lag and the auto-update problems as well.

10.Thank god for fixing the auto update, when I had cable, it took an hour for a single 35 file updxate to go thrugh, which only took 4 minutes on a normal 28.8kbps connection. Sad...

I just cancelled the auto update, then pressed update in the gcql client window. Sure it forced me to spend a couple minutes in the lobby, but hey, that's where I usually am anyways.

/me does the silly happy dance...

I might actually undo my decision of not playing MV anymore. I love MV best, but it's just been unplayable for me lately. Much thanks

Just some more details on what the problem I found was...

Basically, my socket code would stalled out when large amounts of data was being sent. Since the MV exchanges ALOT of data between servers, I think this might have been the source of many of the problems.

Btw:
You'll be able to create wormholes within interdictor fields now. Well at least within your own interdictor fields
Success rate for attempts to create a WH was also increased, the chance of ending up inside solid objects has been decreased.
The minimum range for a wormhole is 2000gu.

Oh and the target accuracy depends on your velocity now.
