FYI.... I've enabled replication on the main database now, which means our nightly backups will occur on the slave database server here on out. Normally, we backup the database nightly at 3AM in the morning, which locks the database from writes while the backup is occuring, which in turns causes some lag and other issues with people playing the game at the time (i.e. getting stuck in gates, chat lag, etc..).

Replication is where 2 databases are kept syncronized in real-time, and we now perform our backups off the slave database which should cause no interruption on the game and lobby side.

Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know why the database went down for a few minutes a while ago. I had to change the configuration file for the master database server to enable replication.
