UGTO Rapier Destroyer

With design elements from both the dread and cruisers below, this is a destroyer class hull. Designation: Rapier

UGTO Ballista Missile Cruiser

This is the first time I'm designing a specific vessel type.

Named after the ancient siege weapon, the Ballista (a bigass crossbow). I've kept most of the Seraph cruiser's (below) configuration, making this a sort of variant of the Seraph class hull.

The cruiser has 2 humps on the back, representing the missile storage and launcher/silos. If you look carefully at the humps, you'll see numerous silo doors.

The engines have also been redesigned. They're now canted outwards and slightly downwards at an angle to retain the fast looking wedge appearance that I liked about the Seraph. The wings are smaller but are integrated well into the hull's profile (at least, I hope )

Let me know what you think.

UGTO Seraph Cruiser concept

Here's my take of a new UGTO cruiser design.

I wanted to incorporate elements of the much sleeker looking dread into the cruiser. Also, I had put up a starship design for the recent EVE contest, and decided to recycle it and modify it to better fit UGTO.

It has the tri-engine configuration of the cruiser, but the outboard engines are now integrated into the hull, as opposed to being mounted on pods. Also, I've integrated a double delta design, with the chine overlapping the forward hull. From the top, it looks blended in, but it's really separated if you look at it from other angles.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

UGTO ST-117 Dreadnought.

I wanted to design a UGTO dread with elements of the current ST101/105/111 series, along with incorporating LoA's designs (seeing as how his dreads will become the future of UGTO)

The model has been bump and luminosity mapped.
It could be an Assault Dread... I dunno. Let's take an orthographic lookaround first.

Update:
- Reduced the severity of the angles on the ship, making it slightly less angular and pointy

- Added texturing to the intake/bay area

We'll start taking angled looks here.

Let me know what you guys think.

Nice.

Looking forward to seeing it from a few other angles and with a little texture.

reminds me of serenity, the "Alliance"(alliance is pretty much Ugto) dreadnaught.

Bit to slender in the middle but otherwise this is one of the best UTGO models ive seen.

I think the "throat" opening cross-section could perhaps do with a couple more segments to it but otherwise good job; it's been interesting seeing your skill develop with each model.

We have a few great dread models but the question is: Will we see them in game?

well i heard that the devs "might" implement a few models into the game however the rights will belong to palestar not the original modeler(<---bad spelling)

Thanks for the comments.

I tried to design it such that the windows are scaled correctly with respects to each other, then lighted, and also placed "sensibly".... in a sense that, they're not located on fins or places that are obviously too narrow/thin to have compartments. Hence the rounded upper hull.

I'm thinking that the "intakes" under the main hull could be missile or transport pod bays.... maybe fighter bays, I dunno.

I do think that the interior might need some detailing though....

*screams like a little girl*

That's gonna be fun to see on the field. I can't wait to start trying my usual tactic of "run the hell away"
