There are some things in the manual key command list that I don't understand, and like to have explained. here they are:
Alt + Y Toggle Yaw Control
[ Decrease range at which IFF contacts are displayed
] Increase range at which IFF contacts are displayed
(what's the IFF? it's a manual for beginners, ingame slang or shortcuts like this aren't understood, place the slang behind it in brackets might be an improvement)
Also: things like rotating ICC shields aren't explained in the manual (or I missed it), players had to tell me how and why to use it. Could be added.
yours sincerely,
Demigan.

IFF stand for Identification Friend or Foe... its the green, yellow and red diamonds on ships.
As its already been said its a little old because it doesn't have the new configs of ships.

Let's see....
alt + y:
switches between the ways the turning is handled
standard is: a and d adjust the degrees at which the ship tuns per sec; left and right arrow keys turn the ship in the corresponding direction at max degrees/sec as long as held down
after pressing alt + y, a and d are used to set the heading to which the ship will turn and the arrow key controls are totally messed up
hitting alt + y again returns controls to standard
[ and ]
increase/decrease the distance at which the target diamonds are shown; navscreen ( F2 ) is unaffected by this
EDIT: you can also use the /focus X command to set said distance
/focus 2000 for example sets it to 2000 gu [ This Message was edited by: Thernhoghas (RO) on 2011-10-08 20:29 ]
