Update - 9th May, 2011:
I might consider dropping the age requirement to 18, although I still need to do some more research as to what is in the area. The 21+ requirement is because most bars and clubs in London have this age requirement, despite the legal drinking age being 18+.
I still haven't decided exactly what we will be doing, although I will be bringing my laptop along so no doubt there will be some DS play. If I have chance, I could even set up some event accounts for those who attend. A rare chance to fly MI or Pirates? Of course you would need to have an adequate supply of rum...

I will be back in ol' blighty near the end of May, so I though I might as well put this out there for anyone interested:
I'm going to be near Westfield, London on Saturday May 28th, so potential for a DSUK meet then. Attendee's must be over 21 and have ID. There won't be any particular venue, most likely just drinking at local bars and catching up.
It also won't be limited to just DSer's. Friends from other games, or even RL would be more than welcome.

21 then you are a full adult with no legal repercussions.

i'm pretty sure you're a legal adult at the age of 18 not 21...at 18 you can do everything without parents consent...don't see the difference with 21

The 'Over 21' requirement is so that we can get into any bars/clubs that we decide to go to.
The majority of bars or clubs in the London area will not allow under 21's in. Although the drinking age is 18, establishments are encouraged by local authorities to do this.
P.S. We will probably go and invade a local internet cafe or somewhere with web access. There is internet available in the Westfield center itself for about $10/$15 a day. Also will have my webcam with me so people coudl join in via TS or Skype, possibly. Just an idea.

There's a slim chance I would be in Azerbaijan the week prior, and there's a connection home on BMI through LHR; I could just stay the weekend in London en route. Would mean I only have to pay for transport and lodging, but not flights over..

Yeah yimm il be staying over in london for a night or 2 but i think im brining the full clan and sending them off to see other ppls while i get drunked.
but does anyone know anywhere cheap and cheerful to stay? Iv found a few places thats look alright and not to expensive or a few places really cheap if u dont mind slumming it with the back packers lol.
