Dear contestants,
it has been a long time since the staff opened an event but starting today we will try to bring them back to you.
Ofcourse the staff hasnt been picking theyr noses all the time, for you bragging pleasure we have now included the latest event badges to your winning prizes.
Now on to the event.
For the next Two weeks the Fan Art Event will be open.
In this event fan art can be submitted.
**NOTE** only 1 entry per contestand is allowed.
I do request however that the entry's will be done 2 fold.
Let me put up an example, for this I will use some nice art work from Ruff

Note that i put the actual link to the picture on top. this will help the players that want to view them in a seperate window.
Now what falls under "Fan Art"
Basicly ANYTHING that is handmade so no Screenshots.
you can make up drawings of the DS ships or make new ones Ruff did not so long ago.
You can also draw self portraits or a nice painting of your Female comrades in they armor *or bikini hey i wont mind*
heck you can even make a nice drawing of your favorite bar 
Heck if you ppl want you can even make a short flash movie.... its all art after all just as long as you made it yourself 
All I ask is that the art is tastefull and decent so no foul language or anything else that is against the RoC.
As for the winners they will receive a shining new Badge.
Nr 1 gets the Gold badge and 2 and 3 the silver and Bronze version.
these badges are UNIQUE.
Now off you go and bring me some great Art.

Lucky people who have scanners...I can't draw crap on the computer but I can definitely do something on paper with pencil. I would enter but...I don't have a scanner to enter it.. *sigh* Oh well...maybe next time I'll have one.

Can these drawings be considered in the future ship design contest Gideon has mentioned? I have new designs for the UGTO cruiser, BD/EAD, and UGTO extractor, but I wouldn't want them disqualified if they've been posted before that competition.

Two questions:
One - Is there a length/width maximum to these entries? I mean, since they aren't really going to be plugged into our signatures, will that allow us to bypass the size rule?
Two - Should we post our entries here, or will there be a separate thread for that?
In any case, I've got MSPaint open, and I'm ready to go. Already got my ideas of my favorite ship. ^_^

Now, all right. I'm going to take the initiative by being the first to post my entry on this thread. I worked for a while on this (I honestly did... restarted a few times and I had to go back and repost it on the website because of some paint errors I had made... and another silly joke/pun to add (you'll see --- it involves the scale )), and I have no shame in what I've done at all. I take pride in all of it.
Without further ado...
All right, Axi, I know it's not the format that you had originally hoped for... but the website had a note saying that it would greatly appreciate it if we posted links to our images in that format instead of directly showing it --- it would save them much bandwidth. If you really have a problem with it, I'll change it to the format you desire.
Anyway, that's my entry. I'll keep my eye out for others making theirs, but I think I already know who's going to win.
