Greetings!
We allready saw some great work of Demorian in this genre of contest. I just know there is more talent out there! We would like to see some of that talent! so thats why we decided to hold a Flash Contest.
So what do we want to see:
1. Make a flash file about DS, or a player in DS, etc... What do we understand under a flash file? Moving stuff!!! We are like little children that calm down by seeing moving things! You can just make a lil scene about a ship crashing (as an example), or you can make a whole story!
2. It still will be posted in an area protected by the RoC. So also in your flash file the, the rules of the RoC still count.
3. Make it as large as you want, or as small as you want. Just remember you have to be able to find a host... Post the link to the file in this thread if you want to compete.
Ok thats about it!
What will the prizes for this contest be?
3rd place: 1 week free playtime!
2nd place: 2 weeks free playtime!!
1st place: 1 month free playtime!!!
The contest will be closed on saturday 13th of december 2003 at[/b] 7pm CET || 6pm GMT || 12am CST[/b].

Ok heres mine and if u didnt guess i have almost no idea how to use flash but hey i put hours and hours, sleepless nights my sweat and blood into this and i hope to win.

This is a piece of crap really, and is just some cobbled together flash animations, but I couldn't not enter after viewing the other entries.
Hopefully, the next flash competition will give me the time to produce something considerably better (Its going to be titled, A day in the life of Yule).
ENORMOUSLY ANNOYING BOLD WARNING!!!!
THIS FLASH CONTAINS SOUND AND WAS COBBLED TOGETHER FROM A COUPLE OF PIECES OF FLASH ANIMATION. CONSEQUENTLY, IF YOU WANT TO VIEW IT PROPERLY, YOU NEED TO CLICK THE LINK, WAIT UNTIL EVERYTHING IS DOWNLOADED, AND THEN CLOSE YOUR BROWSER JUST AFTER IT STARTS PLAYING. THEN, RE OPEN YOUR BROWSER AND GO BACK TO THE ADDRESS. HOPEFULLY, YOUR COMPUTER SHOULD HAVE SAVED THE ANIMATION, AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH IT PROPERLY. ANY MONKEY WHO DOESN'T DO THIS, IS LIKELY TO GET A BADLY TIMED, SECTION MISSING, GODS AWFUL PIECE OF FLASH, AND WILL NOT APPRECIATE THE POORLY TIMED, ITEM MISSING, MILDY AWFUL PIECE OF FLASH ANIMATION THAT IT SHOULD BE.
Anyways, you have been warned.
Yes, two weeks really isn't long enough to produce a quality piece of flash

Alright, it's done
It was planned as a promotion banner for ds 1.481, so I used the same idea like Rock.
It became toooooooooooo big and too long, so I started to export it as avi video. Now, after completition today, its, upss, 244MB.
Should compress. Wait a moment. DivX 5....
Ah, much better, 27MB left. Testing, hmm, quality too low even with 8000kbits videorate, so reencoding, should be rdy in a few minutes
So, trying sfw2avi.....waiting.....
Sound isn't one with video
so, last try otherwise you get geht the swf with borders
so, you get a swf...*bäh* 
Too the Flash: I haven't had enough time to insert everything I tried. So the features off 1.481 aren't completly insert, but I think, its long enough for a nice video/flash.
So, the links:
Flash (eta 7MB)
HMTL and swf file as sfx ace package (eta 6.5MB)
Both are the same but the package is for people with a slow inet connection like me *64k*
