Hi everyone, I hope im putting this in the right place, and forgive me if i didnt look an hour if its already mentioned somewhere.
But anyway, ive noticed tonight that ECM is for sure not working properly.
Situation: ICC Missile cruiser, long range fit with ITs and protons, CLs for close range turned on PD, 2 aux gens, active shields, no enhancements and the troublemaker 2x ECM.
Now at first they work fine ( was at -0.8 signature standing still and doing nothing but ecm ), after a while of combat, jumping around, getting shot up a little, it happened that my ECM wouldnt push me down to the invisibility of -0.8 anymore, NOT even as i tried it in the middle of a nebula.
I stayed around 2.5 signature, for no reason.
I suspected something cant be right after nearly losing my MC three times, parked in the middle of nowhere, ecm on, noted 2.5 signature, rquicklogged, turned ecm back on and violá, back at the usual, proper, -0.8 signature.
I cant say yet when or why this exactly occurs or after doing a certain action/keystroke, but ill keep an eye on it when im using my MC.
I hope you guys can have a look at it too and this gets fixed.
Until then, for everyone using ECM to cover his long range ships or bombers, keep an eye on your sig, always, it may not always be where it should under ECM.
EDIT: And to make clear, this had actual effect of getting seen when i shouldnt have been, so its not just a wrong number showing.

it was the signature bug that is running around. it affects everyone, and most noticeably Kluth, since their cloak relies on signature. (the old way worked fine IMO. no reason to change it)

I reported this with screenshots to palestar support while demonstrating it in a mandi quite a while ago I guess it is still on the to fix list.

yep. Its part signature bug, part desynch.
I notice this in a clavate. I'll be bombing, then notice that it seems one of my two ecm isn't working.
I stop, cloak, log out, and relog in.
When I get back in, I find that my ecm is working right again, and that the planet isn't where I was seeing it before.
If you notice the ecm/eccm sig is off from what it should be, best bet is quicklog. Chances are you are out of synch.

Logged in Mantis as bug id 000650.
If anyone can work out how to reproduce this with a high degree of accuracy, please post here or email bugs@palestar.com
Thank you.

Not sure how you reproduce the desynch issue, but it's the same exact issue that is causing the ecm problem. That's why a quicklog fixxes it. That's why when u quicklog, you come back in and watch the planet shift a few hundred gus.
It's all the same issue.
