Disconnecting from the game server is a problem on your side - not a fault on the game server's side.

Check your connection and routing to the DS servers.

A bit of a bad reply. If, as he said, he was not by a planet, then to hit a planet he would have to be within 2 minutes of hitting a planet, since the server will remove the ship after 2 minutes. So regardless of the disconect he should probably not have lost the ship. Excuse #1 to not help him is removed.

Perhaps we can help this person instead of just making off hand excuses of reasons why not to.

Such as, How does he know he crashed into a planet?
How close was he to any planet on the disconect?
Is this related to spawning a ship and going boom?

And its being implied that there is no chance the server would disconect him. I find that very hard to believe as all computers, as we all know, will goof up at times.

Its easy to dismiss things, harder to acualy help.

There's no point discussing how close to a planet or not he was.
If he disconnected due to a problem on his end, or between the server and his computer, then there's nothing we can do about it.

Sorry.

I too am geting alot of discoes at my end. And i get to send bug reports out as well. I don't know much about this, but i can do everything else fine, with out ANY problems, just like normal. And i dunno if a problem with my connection would result in me sending out a bug report to DS.
