basically, i open up the client, get into the lobby, choose the server i want, it starts to load, and then disappears.
I start it again, and the same thing happens over and over.

Try the Update button from the menu

are you using the beta or release client?

If you are using the Release installer, then you will need to manually click the Update button in the Lobby.
