hey, used to play ds but havent in a while, was thinking bout returning but wanted to see how it is these days first. but i cant connect to the lobby. i read over the forums and this seems to be a common problem of late. i deleted Update(KB944533) and managed to connect to the lobby but was unable to join any game.
i would hit play and GCQL would close but then nothing would happen. tried this several times. then i removed Update(KB947864) hoping this would solve problem. instead i was once again unable to reach lobby. i tried reinstalling Update(KB947864) but this didnt help. removed it again and reinstalled DS. but nothings helped.
can any1 help me out with this?

did u try hitting the update button .... cause if you haven't played in a while that should fix it for you

cant get to lobby to hit update but when i reinstall it does an update b4 it tries to get into the lobby

Heard there were two Windows Updates that render the lobby inoperable. There should be a way to bypass the lobby and run the game directly if I recall, but I'm not sure where it was written and how to do it.

what operating system do you have ?
In case of Windows XP, Service Pack 3 could be your killer.
If case of Windows Vista, Service Pack 1 could be your killer.
Both contain either (KB944533 & KB947864) or coding that has the same effect.)
Second i know these days it a bit old and no longer common.
But check if you either have a firewall software (e.g. ZoneAlarm) or a Virus protection program that might block the game from working.

Hey!
easy:
1.- Uninstall both updates and select not to install em again or download.
2.- In lobby, press UPDATE BUTTON.
3.- Play!
