Well, I'm almost at the time when PaleStar wants some money from me. However, I'm seriously questioning whether it's worth it. What am I paying for here? A very fun game indeed, but one that's plagued by bugs and can be almost unplayable at times (like it is currently with the MV lagged up). Really what I'm after is some sort of time scale as to when these bugs will be fixed. They've been around for a LONG time, and if this were a retail game from one of the major companies, such as EA, Sega, etc. there'd be uproar. DS is just lucky it has a small, but loyal playerbase that get the bills paid.
So, I've got a deadline for my subscription, when's the deadline for the bugs to be fixed?

Two weeks™ is a running joke, so take it with a pinch of salt. We're all waiting for 1.484, but we have no idea when that'll be due (Faustus is still working on the new server backend). But if the subscription rates drop much lower, then there will be no DarkSpace left in 6 months, so if you feel like it, and have money to waste, then keep playing, but ultimately, only you can decide - we can't tell you what to do with your money.

yes you should resub.

latest word is Faustus is now 90% done with the server backend and is moving the beta server to hardware that was formerly used to host the metaverse. Things are moving forward.

I apologise for the hypocrosy, but yes, if you have the spare cash, then re sub.
I am unsubbed, but only due to having to explain to she who must be obeyed why i am spending money on something i no longer play.
I will resub, as soon as new patch.
There are a lot of players who sub in order to keep the flame going until the game gets back on track, and i salute you all. Its about keeping the faith in what is a great game, what has been part of our lives and hopefully will continue to be so.
DS is not EA, or sony or any of the others, its about supporting your local village shop and not shopping in Asda/wal-mart.

I wouldn't because this patch has been out for more than a year and people "loyal" to the game and keep paying for a dream. they have paid over $120 and for a defective patch it isnt worth it.

I agree with most of you. I do enjoy this game *when it works*. It's just when it doesn't, it's a joke. Games lagging up, even when hardly anyone is playing and you're just trying to orbit a planet. Bombs that are launched somehow 10 gu in front of your ship. Firing on someone with no effect then seeing them lag-jump behind you and take your ship down to hull. I feel like I'm fighting both the game code and the other sides sometimes.
