A strange thing has happened to me today.
I logged in to Williams 38 to help take it over, and got out my trusty bomber dessie.
After a painfully long 72-second jump to to the target planet (hate that system), I absent-mindedly start my run (bombing isn't the most... stimulating thing to do in this game, after all). About 400 or 500 GU's in, I notice that there's no bombs underneath my ship. I also notice that my bomb bays are greyed out.
Normally a solution to this problem is to remove the nonfunctional components and reinstall them. This would require reloading my bomb bays, so I fly to the recently captured Paw, which has an SY and a depot. Perfect place.
So, I fly into orbit of the planet. My cargo hold is full with 3 infantry units, so I need to unload or dispose of them before I can remove my bomb bays. This is where more wierd stuff started happening.
Orbiting the planet, the Unload option isn't available. I suppose this isn't unusual for planets that are full of inf, but this one wasn't. Strange.
So, I decide I may as well eject the inf (handy feature... hehe). I right clock in the first unfortunate regiment to be jettisoned into the vacuum of space, and discover that the Eject option isn't available either.
That's not all. I also notice that, whatever I'm pointing at, the only component that lights up as usable is my jump drive. So my ship can move, and jump, but can't do anything else.
My bomber dessie cannot fire any weapons, drop any bombs, unload or even eject any inf.
I've tried logging, popping in and out of the SY, all multiple times. About the only thing I haven't tried is crashing the dang thing into a planet.
This is driving me nuts!

Do what I do when I find something irritating, annoying, and above all the lowliest, cheapest scum of the Earth ever created by mankind.
Use a sledgehammer.

If your un-subbed.. maybe that has something to do with it?
Not supposed to be able to access the ship with midshipman rank so it doesnt allow you to do anything with it?
Probably a long shot, but makes the most sense..

I'm subbed.
It seems to have started workign again as mysteriously as it stopped.
Maybe it had something to do with it being in the Williams system, who knows.
This version has the wierdest bugs...
