I've been hearing this a lot lately from players (something like, 'this game Suxorz, i'm unsubbing for months til its fixed again') and to be honest, what they're saying is starting to appeal to me too.
I'm a regular MV player, but it seems every time i want to play, my experience is hassled by some kind of glith in the game itself. These range from an unresponsive ship as a critical moment (lag, so i'm told) to watching my modded Assault Cruiser drift out of a shipyard when i select it, only to keep drifting while i watch helplessly from the MV as it takes on the full firepower of 3 kluth dreads, and loses. That sucked.
So, my question is this. How can I unsub, and would i be getting either my money back or will i be able to resub later on with the remaining time still there?
Thanks,
-Hex-

You go to the subscription screen and select unsubscribe, your account will remain here aslong as you log in once every 3 months. You wont get your money back as you have probably used it for a while.

To unsubscribe, go view your profile, and then click on the [Subscription] link at the top of the screen. Once within your subscription window, you can choose an option to unsubscribe. Once you confirm this, your card will no longer be automatically charged to give you more playtime once your current subscription expires.
However, there are no refunds involved; once you pay for a subscription, your account has play time for the duration of the subscription whether you play or not.
To play again once your play time expires, you'll need to resubscribe.
Hopefully that answers your questions, without the unhelpful comments of some of the other people in the thread.

Also take notice, if you remain unsubscribed for to long, your accounts stats will automatically reset to Zero. So although you log in periodically to keep your account from being deleted, your may loose your hard earned stats if you remain unsubscribed to long.

Tael are you saying that even if you log in once every 3 months you will edventualy lose all your prestige, points etc?
If so how long is that timer?
p.s. sorry if my past comments where unhelpfull, i tried mybest with little knowledge of the system and fear of getting it wrong.

As far as I've ever been aware, extended absence will result in your Rank being reset, but it will not affect your stats. Once you resubscribe, your stats will recompute to return your rank to its old value.
I've not heard that this policy has changed, nor will be changing.

You don't lose stats if Unsubbed. I have never been subbed and only played during Free Trials. You get your rank sent down to Midshipman but it get's reset when you play again.
