Well for about a day the lagging issues disappeared. But then there were two more patches (i think it was two) and now the lag is back as bad as ever. The patches were probably to fix the infantry ghost problem, which I think it did. But again I'm unable to drive a combat because of the lack of control.

I'm still getting lag as bad as ever.... I'm on a cable modem. Everything will be fine until I start to close in on combat or a planet and then everything goes berserk... also I get lagged when coming out of a jump or coming out of an SY. IMHO the lag that many people are expierencing in this version has to be the worst lag I've ever seen since I've started playing the game.

For someone who jumps at the chance to insult someone who appears to be trying to help, you sure as hell don't show your support or suggestions. He's sub'd and even though you may be a long time DS member, you aren't sub'd, so if I were you, I'd bite my tounge the next time something like this happens, or step up to the plate and voice your support by sub'ing. BIG F asked for feedback on any problems, this is feedback, maybe you should get a dictionary and look it up.

I played for about 3 hours last night including in and around clusters in Sol and Struve and I experienced minimal lag. I'm on DSL and play via a router and a proxy.
However several people mention lagging but there where people also rebutting that, so it only seems to be some people with a problem at some times. Perhaps people responding should mention their connection set-up and if they are lagging or not and how bad it is.
----
I am getting some lag tonight particularly near/in then nebulas in Lalande.

For the most part I don't lag, it's just when I try and turn...

Lag is definately getting worse in MV IMO. Tried to play tonite and could not even move when i wanted to. Came within 2% of loosing my ship. Decided it was better to just log off and hope its better tomorrow.
I sincerely hope that the lag issue can be resolved, as i am just starting to enjoy this replacement of Eve, which replaced Earth and Beyond.
technical stuff:
cable modem
P4 1.6GHz
GForce FX5200
1024 Mb ram
I know its not my machine, because all else and all other games work fine.
Keep at it Faustus!
