Well my client downloaded the new version (at least downloaded something....as someone else put it) and when I try to join the MV, it keeps giving me an error (after a LOONG time) stating that either the server is down to to check my internet connection (which is just fine).
Since I pay for this game I'd like to be able to play it.

I think I have the same problem as you, but I only waited for 5 minutes.

Yeah this is similar to my problem (though I was trying to get into the Lobby, not the MV. Maybe you were confused?). Perhaps Faustus brought teh servers down so he could upload the patch.

The problem is obvious, you guys are on modems, very slow connections, or you have a high packet loss... and your timing out before you receive the entire MV.
What kind of connection do you have?
When you ran client setup, what Connection speed did you specify?
Can you run a tracert and post the result to this topic? That will help me figure out how to adjust the communications code so you can play, you may need to give me a day or two at most to re-patch the network code.

Yes, I have a dial up modem. I will recheck setup but I originally selected that type of connection.
Can I read a tracert? I don't even know what that is?
In any case I now can get into the scenarios but still am unable to connect with the MV. And I see no SocketTrace.log in the directory. However I do find a Trace.log and this is it.....

Uninstall, delete the DarkSpace directory, download and install the latest 1.482 installer from our download directory...
Your client did not auto-update correctly..
