Problems with the new client update |

Hi,
I'll try to get the new update but everytime i lost connection to the server.
The weird part is that it stops at 79% of editer.exe.
I deinstall DS and installed it and the same problem stays at 79% of editer.exe..
Plz help me out...
PS i also deleted editer.exe from HD, no positive effect

I've had simliar problems on the "big" update, but they solved themselfes. They kept reoccuring later tho.
So, this might actually be an issue.

Hmmm ..... Im having a problem too .... after i dl the patch, it seems that i keep losing connection.... This never happened before and i checked all the connects to my computer and to the net. Im running through cable. Anyone else having this problem?

Well, i have still the same problem, that #### editer.exe at 79%...
What will i do next??
I restore my Ghost image, this is without DS.
Install DS and execute it..
GRMBL... lost connection.. On what file do you think and how much???
Yess, editer.exe @ 79%...
Possible solution: Kick editer.exe out of the update, so i can play...
This cost $ 0.33 / day and a lot of anger...

The problem i keep getting is everytime i log on it downloads everything again, even if i've only been offline for a few minutes, at first i thought it was just a new update, but it happens everytime i log in.

I've been adding debug code to the mirror servers to try to figure out what exactly is going on...
Can you look into your DS directory, and tell me if you have any files ending with UPD?

You can backup editor.exe and then delete it and see if thats fixes you up, but honestley im not sure what the problem is. I have heard some ppl haveing the similar problems but other no have any problem at all so im not sure of the cause. :/

Schakal gives the right solution..
He mailed me the complete update.
I put the files in the DS dir..
And YESSSSS, all problems disapeared like snow for the sun.. (Dutch saying)
Maybe can F put also an update in zip format on the website???

Welp, I just finished changing the mirror update code... to try to fix this problem. So when this update gets uploaded, hopefully everything stays fixed for you..

Is there no other way for updates??
Now i'm having troubles with interface.dll, everytime lost connection @ 11%.
Yesterday i had also troubles with this file, but after a manual update no problems.
Hopefully Schakal will help me again and send me the zipped update..
I hope that this will be fixt soon...
I said it before:
Why not put the update on the website??
When the auto update fails we can download it..
I only wanna play, thats all..

Ok till the problem is resolved i have created a zip file that i will update periodically along with the DS updates.
You can download DS.zip here
This File only contains DLLs and EXEs that are in the DS Folder and the data folder with all Wob files. Simply unzip contents directly int the DS folder usually found C:Program FilesPaleStarDarkSpace .
The files are current as of Sunday March 14 2004 12:00 PM CST
