Yea the mining beam is too loud compared to combat noises and such. Keeping my roommate up at night. I'll turn it down, but then gotta turn it back up when I get into combat.

This is funny!
There are so many things you could do yourself to keep the noise down its unreal that you feel this is an in-game issue!
eg:
1 out of respect for a fellow human, not play
2 play but wear headphones
3 zoom out while mining
4 turn game volume down
5 turn system volume down
I could go on but now I'll stop.
