Today, a bit of a talk about raw hull points instead of percentage being displayed popped up on the lobby.

I think that adding a bit of options which would enable you to edit, switch or even move around the UI would be kinda cool.

These days, some people like the fact they can move around their UI in games. I would personally like to be able to have raw hull points displayed instead of percentages. But, obviously changing how the UI is set for everyones personal preferances is nonsense. So why not allow players to move it around, edit it, or just switch between presets.

So, does anyone else think this would be a good idea?

reading hull go down from 95 to 90 is easy, even when it gets repped at same time.

now imagine if it was a number, like 200000, and it updates every millisec...then like..last 2-3 numbers unreadable, u end up with 3 readable numbers instead of 2. thats about it.

Requires more time than we have available to do, but a better UI is something we'd all love.

Darkspace has been around a decade going to endless changes, and I'm sure no one plans on trying to buy this sucker out. Taking time to make things look more attract versus dramatic development ideas that do not work goes a +1 in my book.

I would in a heartbeat. Have entertained the idea quite a bit, and even discussed it with the wife a few times....

If the developers can provide a means to set up a custom UI, then the players can take on the task of producing the HUD graphics and layout.
