The manual says to right-click an enhancement and press "A". When I right-clicked one, it launched from my ship to a planet.

click on the enhancement and next to the target part of the screen (near the lower right hand corner of the screen) should be a wrench looking icon, it should say "install enhancement" or something similar to that, you would want to click on that.

if u selected any object (aside from urself..) u will make tht object ur target, so u will drop the enhancement on ur target
to equip it make sure u havent selected any object, then right click enhancement.
also a workaround: left click enhancement in ur cargo, then right click the "attach enhancement" button on bottom right, next to the object information window
welcome back tesla

| When having nothing selected. if you have a player/planet/object selected it will try to unload the enhancement on to that object..

| That's what I did and it got launched out in space and I lost it. There is no wrench icon either, except the one at the upper left of the screen and that's for something else.

Why, thank you, Sir.
And I will try that suggestion.
Also, is an enhancement destroyed if removed from a ship?

Enhancements aren't destroyed anymore but they do require credits to remove now, the exceptions being once you can't buy, in which case they cost nothing to remove.
