This is still possible and widely used, also very easy to do, needs looking into.

pushing V should stop jump.
that woudl have fixed the first C-jump bug, and never allowed this one to be.
although i must say, whats so wrong with kluth C-jumping?

Nem, i took this very seriously. Took both a dread and a cruise in MV and tried various things. I simply can't see how it's done.
1.) if u press J, going into the count-down alignment, then V, u just cloak and the jump is aborted.
2.) if u try to press V during a jump, it just dosent do anything. V is disabled during jump
3.) while cloaked it's the same, J button is grayed out.
Best i been able to do was jump, the cloak really quick.
The way i figure it, either it's some sort of lag based glich, (like the cloak lag, hate those), that plays the End-Jump graphics late. or it has something to do with the stealth module, which lets u cloak 15% quicker.
the 2nd being less likely, since not that many people use it.
I do get what ur saying, just as u can't fire without decloaking, to jump with outdecloaking would be unfair.
Maybe u should try playing kluth for few days, just to test it out, and ease ur suspicions. [ This Message was edited by: Delando on 2011-05-07 20:37 ]

There is a dilemma, not releasing how to do it won't convince many people who believe it can't be done.
Releasing the method will have everyone joining kluth and ninjaing everthing.

Maybe a stupid question, but did anyone ever consider PMing a dev and explaining how it works to them so they can fix it?

There is no delema. If the devs dont know how to reproduce the bug, they can ask. Ill not be telling anyone other than them.
I dont have to prove it to the community.

This is one reason why the support ticket system was implemented. In order to avoid wasting development time, it would be exceedingly useful if someone submitted a bug report with the "submit ticket" option on the left-hand menu bar with precisely what the problem is and precisely how to reproduce it.
Time spent attempting to reproduce a bug is time spent NOT fixing said bug, so if you know how to do it, let the developers know.
Thank you.

only thing i can think of is the luth ship jumped with 0 power, and was at one time cloak, to use jump drive the luth ship has to disengage the cloak to jump. it make look like too you that the ship is flickering due to lack of power.
if thats not what your seeing, and your target is gone when you get to roughly wher eyou think he/she is, it could just be that he slipped in to cloak. ecm helps us disappear faster ya know.

Submit a Support Ticket with the reproduction steps and we'll get it fixed. Locking this thread to prevent publisiation of this exploit.
