If you use build enhancements then you will build fater and therefore you will gain less pres for bulding then you do for scrapping the same structure since you spent less time building.

That is.....beyond ridiculous. Upgraded build drones are currently some of the most EXPENSIVE enhancements, but ensure that you get LESS out of actually using them? Why do these work so much in reverse of the way the other enhancements do? It'd be like multiplexers giving you less combat prestige since you do more damage in a shorter amount of time.

What's wrong with AI? You can lock the planet first, then upgrade the building.
Or you can bomb the structure yourself. Notice: no FF for bombing green planet.

Advance Build Drone is way too expensive.

The way I see it, Adv Build drones are less about you gaining pres than it is about building your facilities or plats faster to get them operational before the enemy comes.

Imagine your planet about to be besieged by an enemy fleet entering a nearby gate. Having 8 x build enhs might just get that dico up and running before they swarm yo' ass.

Its an unfortunately side effect of the way prestige gain is computed for engineering. Buildings don't have points or anything set directly to control prestige gain; their value is determined by their build time, which is a measure of how valuable they are to the planet and to your prestige gain.

Its not actually that far off from the rest of the system - the value of the armor is set for the armor's protective effect, and hulls are balanced based on how strong we want ships to be... but they then have an effect on prestige gain because prestige is determined based on how many points of armor or hull you destroy.

Not to say that the way this is made is the best way, by any means, but its the way we have.

Maybe just make a way to rebuild a structure into something new. Because its being rebuilt, no prest loss/prest gain?

Don't structures and platforms have HP? Would it be possible to link the build% to HP% and award build pres based on that by having structures/platforms start with 1 HP at 0% complete and rise from there as it's being built?
