Thank you , they are sorely needed. However, I've just reconfirmed through personal testing that weapon condensers reduce weapon cooldown. Their description says they increase energy efficiency, and cooler descrptions say they reduce weapon cooldown.
That may not be wrong (and then again it may be: It's been said that coolers actually reduce the time between individual shots in a single volley and not the cooldown between volleys), but the condenser description is still too vague and doesn't mention the most valuable bonus which is reduced cooldown.
What this means is that condensers are clearly the superior choice for reducing cooldown, as they do it while increasing energy efficiency.
I'm not sure how you might want to word the descriptions for coolers and condensers, but if it were me I'd say condensers increase energy efficiency and reduce weapon cooldown, and coolers I'd not change as I don't know their true effect.

I don't think you understand how the descriptions are generated...
We don't manually input the descriptions, as the game generates them based on the bonus the enhancement gives.
For example the game see's "2% MT_WEAPON_ENERGY", but we display it as "Increases Weapon Energy Efficiency by 2%".
If you don't see an entry, that's because it doesn't have that particular attribute.
You might also have noticed that one enhancement is more expensive than the other . [ This Message was edited by: BackSlash on 2011-02-22 20:30 ]

Oh, that's an interesting and strange way of doing it.

Pretty much how all games do it.

Values are one thing, descriptions are another. I don't think all the wording is automatically generated?

Interesting. Learn something new every day.
So those WoW talents like http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34935 and http://www.wowhead.com/spell=59672 are automatically generated, including how they're worded? I would have thought someone had to at least input the wording.
I can see how the values are automatically generated, but the wording?
I also see that since weapon condensers don't have a value for weapon cooldown, they can't automatically generate a value for that for the description. There's no way to add that manually though? There's no way to modify these descriptions manually? I only say that because as it stands they're still vague and inaccurate.

Correct. They just activate flags and conditions and then certain strings are added to the description.

You'd be surprised of often this is used inside the programming word..
and yes even your reference game is using it.. why? database normalization, check it out.. code is data to !

It's really good to know. I always thought someone wrote them and added variables rather than the whole thing being automatically generated.
Ok let's just remember then that condensers do reduce weapon cooldown, so if anyone asks ingame or in the lobby which to use to increase rate of fire we can tell them don't bother with coolers. That's the point of me starting this thread to begin with.
