Apparently the server crashes when someone tries to leave a group, so yeah...

I had attempted to edit the original message to remove that due to people attempting to 'grief' the beta server...
Anyway... Yes, the server crashes if you try to leave a group. Anyone found doing this on purpose (even once), will be met with punishment etc, etc. Just don't do it.

As an aside, the server sends a /report whenever someone crashes it, so don't think nobody'll notice.

Select everyone else in your group and select "remove from group."

As long as flying an interdictor is no longer an act of tactical altruism I'll be happy.  It will also help compensate those who fulfill roles that do not otherwise gain prestige.

questions:
1. Where does shared prestige go? For example if 2 people are in a group and one builds, the other person gets prestige, but in what category?
2. "Grouped players will share small amounts of prestige (both + and -) with the players in their group." - dev log. What do you mean minus prestige? Prestige you earn is deducted to be shared or overall prestige lost (lets say resources lost) is shared by all players?

Does rank have any bearing on percent of pres taken from the group? Can a brand new account group with some station pilots and make Admiral in a day? Can a Chief Marshal group with some lower ranking players and bleed off more of there pres?
Any details on how the system works would be appreciated.

Still messing about with how it works. A player in the group will earn a very small percentage of what you do, as you will them.
