Wonder what Freud would say about these images. Good thing there aren't any reverse thrusters on that thing.

Didnt it use to be that when your armor rings contacted anything, you died?
When and why did this change?

i wish i knew..
in my tests with the icc extractor ( because i didn't want to lose mush pres testing)

you can move the ship all the way into the planet just as long as the

back plate doesn't touch the planet, all i can think of, someone screwed up with the mass changes if they have done the extractors yet.

a little before the recent enhancment changes there was a boring night so i decided to see how close i could get to rememberance in my SS. I discovered that a small amount of hull could touch the planet before i went boom.

shortly after that i tryed it with another planet, michelle. i didnt get any where near as close to this one. when i was about half way to the hull of my SS, *boom*.

it seems that different planets register a colision a bit differently.

also, dont let another station fly over top of u when ur inside an icc planet dropping inf. the being pushed down by their ship works fine but the rising back up to the normal level...ouch...

i can see this becomming an exploit hiding your ship with in a planet to prevent enemy fire.

for the most part you can fly into a planet as long as your model doesn't touch the planet. Called zero point dropping you can safely drop inf onto a planet without PD hitting them. Shots register where your armor rings are but collision with something registers where your model is.

Does torp splash still kill inf pods no matter where in the armor ring they are, long as they're in range? Might need more offensive bases in that case...

yes torps still do that no matter where on the ring, they have a nice splash damage.
