Now that we are able to purchase enhancements, I think we should be able to sell enhancements that we do not want, that we pick up from player vs player action.
Of course it should be at a reduced rate, but it would be better than throwing them out the airlock...

If players could sell enhancements they could potentially gain much more credits than by purchasing credits. If that were the case players may abandon purchasing them at all then what happens is DarkSpace eventually dies from lack of funding.

My opinion may not be shared by everyone, but i think some will agree with me.
IMO the enhancements are way to cheap, when you can deckout a newly spawned ship with 8 adv enh and not have to worry about losing them till the 20th death somethings wrong.(yes my own ship is this way) but i think it needs to done with a little more sense. Add a pricey tag for the enh, and shorten the disability from 20 to atleast 10.
Even if and when they implement the penalties for having the enh it would level out better.
Making it worth staying alive out there, that we have a reason to fight to get out of a fight cause we know in 2 deaths we lose more then just pres.
This game is more then just blowing one another up, if we don't have to fear losing anything special, what fun is that?
This game was once fun, and slowly very slowly its getting somewhere close to what it once had been.
i feel beside myself at this moment. please feel free to shot me down, because i know that's all anyone seems to do nowadays.

they are cheap yes to those of us who have lots of CR to burn right now. Think of it this way, if we could sell them for say 5 cr for a minor and 10 for a limited ect. 800cr for an adv enh would be a lot of work if you had nothing to start with. Wait until you die 20 times and, trust me you will really fast, you have to replace all 8 of them again with new ones. That will add up really really fast. The current cost of them is just right for a base line eco, you will see.

There is your problem.
Currently there is to much credits in game, heck check my profile if you don't believe me.
Try to look at the current Subscription options. 10,250 Credits $9.99
So look at that you get 10250 credits for a duration to use in 1 month.
That makes 102 standard Enhancments, 51 Improved, 25 enhanced or 4 Exhaust.
That is more then enough currently to last i month i think.
Heck even the other payment option is 5,000 Credits $4.99
50 snd, 25 Imp, 12 Enha, 2 Exhaust.
Given the durability of the enhancements i'd say it is decently balanced.
[Smile]
Why not be a good Player and just give all your credits over 10K to me..
I'll be sjure to pass then out to newbies to give em a try of the benefits of subscribing. Just like in the old days of Credits.

I don't think they're too cheap. Yeah for those who have been here a long time their costs mean little. But to newer players, 1 month can equip 1 ship with advanced with a few credits left over. If you want to equip multiple ships with advanced you're gonna need a few months worth.
They only seem cheap to those of us with thousands upon thousands of credits.

even then as a new player you should worry so much about the enhancements since your gonna die more offten anyway. stick withthe green ones you get off of killing people or the scarps left over from larger fleet battles.

I have already been, and always have been a very generous person in regards to credits and enhancements. More than a handful of people got some of their original blues off my generosity here. I see that I have a lot, and I have no problem spreading - to a point.
The key, is to use what you have wisely. If you dont have a dread, you dont need thousands of credits for enhancements.
I believe that offensive enhances should cost more. Period.
I understand that the trails are 3 stats, so they cost more, but I would actually make them cheaper. They arent used as much as the offensive ones. Most people just want them for the purdier trail.
I think adv defensive enhancements and top shield enhancements should be a little higher as well.
Right now we see a lot of full modded blue ships out there. But correct me if I am wrong, a few dollars makes ANYONE able to mod up the same way?
Again, the key is to mod smart. Dont throw away thousands of credits on 4 dessies and a frigate because that's all you can get. If you are lower ranked, maybe just stick with the lower enhancements, even low buyables, until you get to cruiser+.
And for pete's sake study and think through what you are modding. There are several good guides and most vets can fill you in on how to enhance which ship for which strengths. Yes it matters, noobs. It matters alot.
