ive notcied recently that scouts(atleast on ICC) have became very popular all of a sudden....

I guess its the luth infestation. i've seen lately that having a scout instead of a dred in a medium to large group of ships realy has a good impact on the enemies death/jump out numbers. after all, they take forever to uncloak and recloak.

my only question is. scouts used to have the best sensors in the game. now if i want to ping a dred in a recon scout, i must turn on all 5 ECCM's at once to get a short blip....

Then you arent pinging right. I play in scenario and on the human factions with alt accts. I play scout alot. I have no problem pinging or beaconing.

No the devs readjusted the loadouts on all scouts.

ya i know. i was flying a UGTO scout in scenario. it flies like a blimp all right.

i reckon a frigate could out accelerate and out-maneuver it.

The new loadouts on the Human Scouts are actually quite good...

-ICC Stealth Corvette: 4 Fusion Torpedos, 1 Chem Laser
Not that good if you trying to shoot someone from anything further out than like 450 gu

-UGTO Assault Corvette: 2 Heavy Particle Cannons, 2 Proton Torps
Now this is wicked, I poped a few dreads just by using this. It's now my fav ship on DS. Better than my Modded BC.

-Kluth.... (I havn't played Kluth in a while so you tell me the load out on your Combat Scout.)

But as you can see, the Scouts are now worthy combat ships. But that comes at a price. What happen to the Sensors, ECM, ECCM? The AC used to have 1 ECCM. I was able to ping lots of luth with just 1 ECCM.

And also the Anti-Sens and Long Range Scout: Whats the difference. They both have the same amount of Sensor/ECM/ECCM slots... and they both have the same wep loadout: 1 Chem laser.

The only difference is that when you spawn a new Anti-Sens Scout it has pure ECM. And Vice Versa for the Long Range Scout. So wahts the point of these two scouts. They are absolutely the same. Please answer!

i noticed with the icc scouts,there beacons stop firing after 1 or 2 refills.

Really? That seems a bit selfish.

Could it be to not use them all at once - instead, to cycle through each of the ECCM systems one by one to provide multiple chances to do so?

Yeah right, Ill take you up on that little challange. A frigate of your choice vs my Assault Scout. And you said you reckon a frig coult out accelerate it and out-maneuver it right? Well my Assualt Corv can be modded. If you think the frigs are fast and more agile.

Selfish - I don't think so.

I just find responses to the general forums to be disappointing from some players through to some greens at times.

Hence: I'll keep my thoughts and opinions on tactics for my fleetmates and friends if that's OK?
