I just checked out the dev log, and noticed the thing about damage to ship systems. EMPs should do a lot of systems damage, just not cripple a ship in only a few volleys. I think causing damage to only a couple systems at a time should finally balance out EMPs.
And it also looks like the alpha developements are getting close to release! Cannot wait for the old mission and grouping systems.

EMP has actually been insanely nerfed because of these changes, so we're looking at re-balanacing them again (they were nerfed heavily last update).

EMP damage may need to be increased due to this change... but really, the old way was a REALLY bad bug in which internal damage was insanely multiplied and applied to multiple systems... which is why once you started taking internal damage, all systems go off line very quickly.

you REALLY didnt wanna stay around long in a fight with UGTO lol...
