Was playing ICC this pass week. I'm having a bit of a problem fighting EMP moded Ugto Battle Dreads. It seems extremely effective against ICC ships of all classes.

EMP does 150% dmg to Shields. and once pass amor, does constant dmg to systems.

The result is that quite oftem in a ICC Dread, I would lose my shield veryquickly. and all my systems would be dead (including JD) at well about 70%-60% hull.

And if the ugto dread in question was had reflective armor, he'll have less than 10% hull dmg.

Does anyone have an good idea of how to counter this?

Last I saw the code for increasing damage to shields if the damage is EMP was commented out meaning its disabled...

Try cloaking.

Oh wait.

nm.

Seriously tho, Baskin Robbins isn't the only company with 31 flavors. DS' flavors of the month is stacked emp and flux. Best bet is hit in groups, concentrate on one target at a time, jump when they have start to tat the hull. If you stick around, you won't go anywhere except the spawn screen.

If u are outnumbered, well, there's always Rogen's or Procyon. They offer a more realistic challenge I think.

EMP was tapped with the nerf bat in this last release, and in the next release i'm pretty sure it's going to be a homerun with a louisville slugger nerf beatdown(tm)

EMP is overpoweered especially in the form of BD's with all EMP

I myself dislike having all EMP, since I cant do alot of hull damage... I usually convert my EMP's to Pcannons... but thats just a personal preference. I do know alot of players who prefer EMP because of the amount of system damage it does.

Anyone remember Flux Battledreads? That was fun... funny... hah. Never flew one myself, but I know they were deadly.

Anyway... dont worry, EMP will be little more than a BB gun to a Main Battle tank soon.... till then, stay away from the blue lights

It's not a cure until it's released.

I have a cure, its patience. The problem will resolve itself eventually.

Flux dreads were one hit wonders. You didn't have the constant stream of cannon to rely on. Personally, I'm surprise the emp cannon slot was not made a special, therefore limiting the number you could have.

2,4,6, and 8 never did much for me....but then again, I fly an EMP Battle Dread.

My advice? GO UGTO!

You're fighting UGTO at close-range. Think about that for a while.

HINT: Use missiles.

SECOND HINT: Use your jump drive to generate range.

THIRD HINT: Seriously, you're ICC. What are you thinking, engaging UGTO at close-range?
