Just registered and downloaded the client, now I have log in errors. Two thumbs up!

If you can be more specific to what kind of login error you are getting, it would help a lot.
And just to be on the safe side, You have downloaded the Game client from the DarkSpace.net website i hope.
(don't think the old pre 1.5 installer works anymore. tho i haven't tried to check.)

It seems you can log into the website and post, so that at least eliminates any issue with your password.
You have also received and redeemed your 14 day coupon, so any email issues are eliminated.
All that remains is to check you have downloaded the latest available version of the 1.508 game client, from one our download mirrors.
To be of more assistance I will need to now exactly where you are getting the login errors.
For example: What is the last thing you see on screen after launching the game client?
