Ds lacks of players.
Ds needs serious developers.
Ds needs comercial and publicity.
Ds has loyal players and willing to help.

So faustus , can u please add a donation cash button in MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION page ?

I ask this directly to faustus .Because rest of devs playing celentania and team fortress.I dont wanna take from their free time.

I agree with the last two, but

You suggest donations.
Problem is what are you going to do with the donations.
When you donate you expect results, sometimes the results differ from what you might have wanted. this creates friction between you, the game owner and the developers.. Not something you want in a already unstable community.

I have heard the suggestion of Donating a couple times over the years, while i don't speak on Faustus behave, i have noticed that he isn't a supporter of the idea..
Hope Faustus himself will put some words in this topic...

Basically what he has told us in the past, just keep subscribing. Consider your subscription your donation...

Awaiting other people's input;

... as I had suggested in-game once. Glad to see I am not the only one to think so, sir Nukey.

I'd suggest allowing someone to sub someone else be enabled so too. It'd make frenz subscribing frenz easier or whatever the hell.

Donations would only really be necessary to keep DS afloat. That being said, it does not appear as if it is under any severe financial strain at the moment. DS seems more like a hobby to faust than an actual business; either way I wouldn't really know.

The only problem with that Bard is that you get accused of catering to people that have more money. While I don't personally care, it ruffles other people's feathers.

I dont mind making a donation, I also don't mind subbing one or two, but they got to be active.

We need 1.517 patch out asap, why have they stalled not sure why the rear arc bug not on the list, it should be. Come on Devs lets get moving and stop assing about with crappy SotSE wannabies.
4 months ago the servers were full with the release and now its like a ghost town with most of us vets playing K'luth, a handful on UGTO and Stealth77 playing ICC on his own.
Whether its a personal hobby or not, its a community for fans who like pvp and space games, lets get this game rolling once more.

Get rid of the deadwood and bring this game back to life.

I can imagine think the entire Dev team will say "NO in unity.

quoting jack.
"No player should have a advantage over another just because he pays for stuff".
I stand by that.

New Jack Give me my pay for a paint job option.
I want to spend Cash to paint my agincourt Pink!

[edit]O.o heres a good example, Would you want to pay $0.75 for this?

Well if this goes like that he will need to look for another hobby.

And this is my 2 cents.

I once "donated" to Darkspace by opening up several accounts I didn't use, paying $20-$30+ / month instead of $10. I also left my subscription active for over a year when I quit.

This is a simple approach you can use to make a donation, even if you only sign up a new account for 1 month.

Alternatively, find an old player that is inactive or someone that isn't able to pay right now. Send their payment in for them using the Pay by Cash option.

That has two effects:
1) More money flowing into Darkspace
2) An old player becomes active again

It'd be great if you could "gift" time to someone (say, $2 for 1 week). It would probably encourage gifting of free weeks to old friends so they could play. Then larger donations (gifting someone $10 or $20) would be a great donation that got a player back... possibly for good once they got hooked again.

The other thing you could do is gift a new member on a 7-day trial an extra week for $2, possibly convincing a new member to join Darkspace.

I agree with the couple people who said it: donating sub time for others would be the way to go. That way you not only get more money for darkspace, but more players in game as well.
