Is your laptop Truly wireless? How about your cell phone? They still need to be fed power through a wire after thier batterys run out.

Wireless power for a Clasic LightBulb.
State of the art powersupply with the worlds most uneconomical light source.

Second thought, Pacemakers, Titanium kneecaps, and microwaves are not affected by the magnetic field i hope?

id think wires IN your bacon would be a bigger problem than wireless bacon, seeing as bacon is wireless by default

As you can read in the comments on that page, its an old idea brought to life.
The problem is, the transmitter needs to send much more energy then the receiving part needs, so there are huge losses untill they find something to avoid those losses.

compare it with radio-transmitters, they send out huge amounts off electricle energy but not everybody listens to the radio so not all electriclewaves are received...(read as: not all energy is used for something usefull)

you can't "avoid" those losses. only minimize it.

Think of the possibilities though!

My college campus could finally be completely wireless, instead of just only wireless interweb. Would be nice, cause then i wouldn't need to carry the power cord with me all the time.

And applications in office building an various other mass gathering locations.

Think of the possibilities!
