The free trial even they have added gives you 2 weeks.
Is this added on to the current subscription/free trial you have??

No, no subscription time will be added.
All accounts will simply have the same server options as would a normal subscribed player have.
so your Statistics will generate prestige when joining a server. that's it.
One question from myself to the staff however.
Is that the only real difference? not that Non subscribed players will have the same access as subscribed players. (Thinking Fleet creation etc.) [ This Message was edited by: Eledore[NL] on 2009-02-23 07:03 ]

Fleet creation goes off of the FULL ACCOUNT flag, which is activated on all accounts during a free trial.
We do not add subscription time, due to the fact that it's a free trial, and people already playing the game, don't exactly need to trial it.
Yes yes, thank you for pointing out the spelling error. [ This Message was edited by: BackSlash *Jack* on 2009-02-23 09:01 ]

But if my trial runs out before the end of the event I would still be able to use the remaning time on it (the trial)?

If your current free trial (by means of coupon) or subscription run out before the end of the current free trial, then you will be able to play for the remainder of the current free trial as if you had a full account.

So, not to be all negative, intrusive and curious.
But why the Free Trial? And don't say the good of your heart, 'cus we all know developers have no hearts - Just svn's.

well duh....
Darketing.
Free game time without restraints -> "feel" the game ist it can be (once you pay up) -> chance to atract new players.
If i called a friend now to test a game that doesn't offer a free trial and he is limited to being instant fragged the moment he shows his head, he would certainly say "#~&@^!@! this im outa here".
free trials are good and realy the only way to get new players into a game like darkspace.
