Over the com channel, a Fl was heard screaming:

"ALL SHIPS OPEN FIRE!" The hull of the Latrodectus shuddered as the Shredder missiles and Pulse beams discharged. The UGTO fleet showed up just moments ago, attempting to take Omvyr. Our fears, they might just win. I couldnt help but think the worst. The commander of the Latrodectus stood up. "Ship master to crew, we may not win this. I just want to say its been a pleasure serving with you". In normal circumstances, we would cloak and run away. We were caught off gaurd by there assault, and we were one of the first to get hit. It was a well planned cordinated attack. Almost instantaniously, our cloaking device went off line. Our armor has been brought down considerably, and we have hull damage at the back-right of the ship. Uncomfortably close to our engines. "Ship master, we barely have the energy to move away". I thought about it for a moment, i couldnt think straight. The view screen showed UGTO battle dreads, escorted by sensors and scout ships. I could not tell if there was anything else behind them, though i was sure there was. "Navigations, take us behind that hive'. Our engines cried and we began to move. The ship shook violantly for a moment. "Fires on deck 12A-23A". A worried look came on my face. "Close them down, eject the air out of those areas". I didnt like the choice, but what other did i have? I can only pray for those on those decks, in hopes they will find there paradise. The hive station started to cover us up. "Communications, open a channel to that hive". Moments passed until finally. The ship master of the hive came on screen, sparks and fire could be seen behind him. "I am the ship master of the hive Buzzcox, what is it you need?". Before i could speak, one of my navigations stations blew up, throwing the ensign across the room. I turned back to face the admiral. "We have taken heavy damage, and are in no condition to fight, or repair ourselfs. I request supplies from you..honorable Shipmaster". He assest his own situation quickly, and said. "Very well, but we can not linger. We are currently repairing three others. We will give you what we can spare".

A sigh of relief escaped my mouth. I thought we would be ok. I knew the human fleet was still there, pushing there assault. Explosions could be heard, getting closer and closer. I spoke to my crew, "rest easy for a moment. We are recieving help from The buzzcox'. Everyone layed out a cheer of relief. "Show me all view screens". Several camera angles came up, showing the battle. I watched in disbelief. A human assault dread, charged another hive. The hive fired a volly of Shredder missiles,
and Larvae horde could be seen leaving its docking bays. Multiple other ships engaged eachother. In many days of my career, i have not seen such a battle....Suddenly, the hive that just got charged, burst into flames and broke into many pieces.

Off to the side, Two ships known as Agincourt carriers appeared from the debri, along side them a fleet of 20 ships...

They opened fire upon our remaining fleet. Many ships could be seen, splitting into pieces. Organic metal armor went off in all directions. I stared, fear overwhelming me. We had no where to run. A picket destroyer among the human fleet turned on us. Rail guns and missiles began to head in our direction. The missiles were destroyed by one of our defence frigates
nearby, however we could do nothing about the rail projectiles. The hull of our ship started to shake. Fires started all over, I stared out the view screen of the on coming human fleet, as i listened to the back of my ship break apart. Within seconds, i was engulfed in flames....

The destruction of the Latrodectus.

AFTER MATH: Send the signal again, there has to be someone still alive.

The commanding officer breathed heavily, looking at his crew. Fires burning on some terminals, and smoke filled the room. We where barely alive, engine power at 26% and weapons offline. Life support showed 67% of the crew had been lost.

-comm officer- Sir, theres nothing out there except the bouncing signals of what we send.

Our ship creeped slowly through the debri field. This had to be one of the largest battles ever to take place between k'luth and human fleets. It was difficult to imagine it even took place. Two hours ago, Hundreds of ships were here, in the midst of battle. Now, it was nothing but scrap metal.

The human fleet had won this fight, and left. They bombed the planet, and didnt care to take it. I didnt blame them, there was nothing left to claim.

-comm officer- sir, our pings are bouncing off a ship showing life signature, attempting to hail now.

-Co commander- Show forward view.

Three operational cameras showed a large heap of organic metal just ahead. The underbelly of the ship lay tilted, and ablaze. Explosions could be seen torward the end, only...the end of the ship had been completly torn off. Fires on the inside could be seen, and it saddened me.

-Comms officer- No responce, sir.

-Co commander- Prepare a shuttle, we will check the forward part of the ship. There is no use trying the other half.

The burning ship slowly spinned around, revealing the other side.

The commanding officer let out a cry.

The battle colors of the Latrodectus showed, and were scrapped. Her insignia torn by metal. An explosion consumed part of her flag.

--FLASH BACK--

Khirma held out his hand to reach for his brother, nythlar. Trying his best to pull him from the ledge he had slipt on. Below him, lay deadly rock formations. Grab my hand! yelled Khirma. Nythlar tried desperatly to reach, but couldnt. Nythlar lost his grip and began to descend to the bottom of the cliff. Out of no where a cralgun bird flew by and snagged his brother out of mid air.

--Real time--

Comms- sir, Rescue crew says there are survivors.

Com officer- Good, begin extraction immediatly. We dont want the human fleet discovering our presence.
