Just don't feed the troll, Rae.
On that note, free sub time I believe was decided to be handed out once v1.502 is completely and utterly devoid of gamebreaking bugs and balancing issues. After going live there're still some perceived bugs so I do think they want to fix those first, and i cannot much blame them. We should've beta tested moar when we had the chance. :C
Also, I wouldn't return to a bug-riddled update, so it's only smart they're keeping off on giving out them coupons...
